FAQs
What insurances do you accept?
I am contracted with Blue Cross, Aetna, United (Optum), and a handful of Blue Shield plans (those that have Blue Shield behavioral health coverage and not Magellan). I am not contracted with Medicare, and I am an “opted-out” provider. This means that I cannot bill Medicare for any services, and if you are a patient with Medicare benefits, you cannot seek reimbursement from Medicare for my services. I do not verify coverage prior to your visit, but I wilI submit claims to insurances that I contract with. I strongly recommend that patients contact their individual insurance plan to inquire about coverage for the visit.
Do you have in-person appointments available?
In line with efforts to curb the community spread of COVID-19, I began seeing patients via a HIPAA compliant, secure, telehealth portal in 2020. I am still conducting all appointments virtually.
Do you perform evaluations for third parties?
I do not perform evaluations for 3rd parties (disability, forensic, governmental agency, etc.)
Do you offer medication management and psychotherapy?
As of January 2022, I am seeing new patients for medication consultations only. I am not currently scheduling new psychotherapy appointments.
Do you treat adults and children?
I see only adults and do not treat children or adolescents.
